...uh. yeah.Ror and Dan in costume-inspired clubbing gear. Dan wears shutter shades with a ribbed turtleneck and a hoodie-vest with "armor" detailing and faux fur/feather lining. Ror accompanies in a pair of shutter shades, fedora (now in black!), triangle inkblot print scarf, simple black T-shirt and trademark purple pinstriped pants.

This is uber awesome! I love it! Lol. I'm not gonna lie, I've totally thought about what these guys would be up to on the club scene. I totally see Ror as a skinny jeans man. But maybe that's because I'm partial to them myself. *giggles* I just love your drawings of these guys.

I'm trying to get better at drawing them. It seems like I have just as much an urge to draw them as I do to write them, but I'm far better at the writing than the drawing so... Buh. A line has to be drawn somewhere!
And really, if you look in the GN, those pinstripes he wears are pretty damn tight on he calf and ankle. Maybe it's just me ad my personal bias. Seeing in it what I want to. Damn straight, since that's the whole point, haha.

I'm pretty scared of dipping my toe into the Dan/Ror fanfic pool because the talent is just so big. Recently have been writing some Ozy/Com fic and it's been working pretty well (though I can't bring myself to doodle them...well, everything balances out, I suppose).
Maybe Ror just has particularly strapping thighs and calves

Dan/Ror is the complete reason why I started writing Watchmen fan fiction. Lol. First time I read the book, that was the only thing that got me though, anticipating some late night tryst that would make my heart go a pitter patter. I've drabbled the two of them trying at a normal life all summer and am working through the first few chapters of my AU fic for them on ffnet, here, and LJ, though my latest update needs work -_-; It's not always easy, that's for damn sure, and considering you do a lot of art for etherati, you're setting your standards pretty high (because... guh... I wish I would write that well. Though I suppose I do in my own way ((holy cow, look at me be optimistic about my writing! *eats chocolate* wtf?))) I've considered writing Ozy/Comedian a time or two and even drabbled a bit on that, but between my Dan and Rory muses, it'll probably never happen, or at least not for a looooong time. haha. Oh well. All you can do is try, eh? And I suppose all that vigilante work and murderin' and stuff does tend to make one beef up pretty well all around. Hell, if Rorschach's lower half looks as good as his upper *ogles JEH in the prison scene* ... Well, I can only HOPE he wears skinny jeans. I will say, they get hella hot though, and I got absolutely soaked today in a 3 block walk through a monsoon between classes today, and that was nigh too comfortable in skinny jeans. Perhaps there's some impracticality there... Nevertheless. *giggles* End Verbosity!

I was actually fine with the whole Dan/Laurie dynamic of the GN and it wasn't until the movie that I was like, "holy shit, this is inappropriately slashy. wtf." Which got me started on Dan/Ror art, and the rest is history. It didn't help, of course, that etherati was the FIRST author I read, and Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors and her stuff is like Vonnegut meets slash which is AWESOME

I hated Laurie straight off the bat. Comedian was my immediate fave, quickly followed and overshadowed by Rorschach and Laurie was a bitch to and about them both. Immediate hate for her. Plus she just complains about EVERYTHING when she has... EVERYTHING. I've refined my argument as to why I dislike her now, but it also makes me like her a bit more in the same token. Like all comic book women, she's a raging feminist in disguise and the fact that she leaves Jon to take hold of some sort of power is kind of admirable. The fact that she then decides to TAKE power from my now 2nd favorite character *huggles her Danny Boy* just angers me beyond belief. Though I totally love how insecure she gets after they sleep together. Win!
Anyhow... I really need to read some Vonnegut then. Lol. I tried renting his old flat last summer *goes to school in the city he used to write in* (woot iowa!). It's like hurting state pride if don't but I don't read much anyway unless it's fan fiction. It's hard for me to read original stuff it seems... Just as hard as it is for me to write original stuff, haha
I think Dan/Ror could work mostly Pre-Roche (so Dan/Walter, though of course, that's who it ALWAYS is anyway. As if Rorschach would be a homosexual. haha. Walter would though. Scruff lil redhead.) or in an AU, which is how I've written it. The film created a beautiful opportunity for Dan to stop being such a goddamn pussy and stop Rorschach from dying. In fact, they create two. lol. And so I took it from there. I'm trying to take it seriously and keep it true to canon, which makes it really hard and all that slashy shit I wrote this summer doesn't fit anymore, but I'm still trying and posting the slashy stuff on the side and SOMEHOW working it in later, since I'm totally not there yet. On FFnet I'm Vaudeville. Don't read CH 3! Lol. Yet. I let my fangirliness take over and it isn't as realistic as it should be so I'm gonna fix it. Hopefully today. I gotta go. I'm gonna be late for class. shit.
