Description A test shot of Delilah. This was also the first time i had shot with seamless paper as well. With some problems metering to get the light level right this was a good mix. An interesting slip dress with a lovel ribbon detail combined with a sultry casual pose.

Ive decided I want to chew on her... she is gorgeous, this is what Courtney Love could look like if she would get her shit together and stop being trashy, I love the dress and the pose in this piece.. Very lovely.

I love htisone! it has some old retro feel to it,yet like someoen siad, i feel liek shes ina clothing ad.
I think the creme backdrop too, worked well for the piece. The only critism i can off, is that i see alot
of grain. This is probly because u have a high IS0 . Try upping your light and lowerin hte IS0 itself.
It takes a lil slower ,but u get less grain.

I have absolutely no idea why i set my camera at iso 320? How weird i always have it set at 80 because i use studio flash for nearly all my shoots.

Very well done! I get this fashion catalogue feeling when I look at it. I think the hair kind of blends into the background too much.. maybe she should have worn something that was a bit more outstanding to draw attention to the face first? I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting at.. great make up though, and I also like how you've shown the tattoo on her wrist. It contrasts with her outfit and spices up the pic...kind of gives her personality

As an afterthought, I think what would be quite amazing also would be to actually have her smoking. Capturing wisps of smoke could add an
interesting texture to the photo
Stunning nonetheless of course!

Delilah wanted to light it up to do that exact thing. The place is heritage listed so smoking is a big no no and also the lighting was all wrong i think you would need to do low light with the smoke drifting into light to be seen against a black background.

I think what works so well for me in this shot is her almost trashy stance... the piece is just as strong as the other but I think the background werks just that lil bit better in this one... great stuff tho mate

Its the hair ain't it and the diamonte necklace ( thank god it was not pearls )

Again, a very good photo.
Her cream colored dress is complimented by the background very nicely.
Excellent use of the hands.
I might have had her bring her chin up a little.
Her neck seems a little compressed and uncomfortable.
Other than that it is very nice.
I like how she is off center.
Her cigarette hand draws you into her face.
Hmmmm, maybe a stronger facial expression, but that’s not always under your control....

I think I like these stream of thought comments....

Photo was shot from above eyelevel so she was leaning back slightly from the hips and then head tilted forward to bring the chin into profile and a similar angle to the cigarette holder. Hence the neck does disappear under the jaw. Dress and backdrop the same colour was a gamble i am happy with. And i am really digging the rule of thirds with the positioning of the models. First time i have shot with her so i will try for more an animated shoot next time. Thank you once again for your thoughts

Photo is good. The dress drains too much colour from the scene. Or maybe the its the clashing of the roughness of the ink and the hair and the makeup against the sophistication of the cigarette holder, the pearls and the dress.

I suspect adding a touch more colour into it and cleaning up the 'scene' would change it away from what you appear to be striving for.

That all said, your photography skills are definately breathtaking.

I wanted to see if the flesh tones would come through okay with a beige background. Using the lighting to add shadow and depth. I think in part it was successful.
A lovely clash between glamour and hangover.
