Actually, yes.

It's chronicled in this mini series that explores a "What if?" scenario, where Mephiles suffers a head injury that causes him to lose all memory of himself, and later becomes fearful of what would happen if he DID get it all back, as by that point, he formed a friendship with Shadow and Rouge...

I was surprised how well it hit off, as originally, it was only going to be a one shot, and left with open ends to let the reader think about that possible outcomes...

It eventually went up to four parts, before I attempted to leave it at that, but after continual asking for closure for about two or three years, I finally gave the most recent, and possibly last story... in which Mephiles and Shadow are the only two left of the group in the future because of their agelessness (or rather, Mephiles is shown to be aging quite slowly, but brings up the point that Shadow could very well be alone some point in the later future), and Mephiles' control on his powers start deteriorating for one reason that's explained over the last two stories...

Bear in mind, the whole story overall hinges on the first one readerwise, and the second one flashback-wise.

I've been told that it's pretty heartwarming, tearjerking and even a bit startling at some points, but being the writer, I can't really judge that myself...

But, I guess I could let you read them and see what you think... ^^

And Mephiles just appears to be staring intensely at the camera. Probably doesn't know much about them... XD

Seriously, even though the guy is super smart and all that (supposedly), I like to take into consideration that if he had not come in contact with a concept before, he might be baffled. He might understand how to operate a computer (such as the one in that cutscene in Silver's story, though he appeared to wake it out of idle mode, since he hit a couple keys. Awkwardly at that...), but I'm sure if you toss a camera at him, he might need a bit to study it before concluding how it works... XD
