LAME ASS NAME!
Ahh, you guys have now seen a sneak preview of me and ~Khokolotte 's latest cosplay photo shoot. It's FINALLY getting cool where we live, so that means we can take pictures once again! This was one that turned out nicely. ;D
As with my previous cosplay entry, this will be entered in *Akusesu 's Bleach cosplay contest. I'm still needing a third entry... *looks at you people*
Me and Khokolotte did some experimenting with different elements today... some more successful than others.
Dried rose petals were pretty hilarious to work with; we got set up and in position for the picture, and then... the wind started blowing. 
But we managed to get a few shots of it, and thankfully some worked out. I'll tell you later about the Epic Rain Pictures.
So... yesh, those are my pictures for the moment. XD Hopefully I'll have my third and final picture up by tomorrow!

This is a very good cosplay of Soi Fong. I was never too big a fan of her aggressive attitude around everyone, as well as her petty spite for Kisuke being with Yoruichi, but I always liked how badass she was. He English voice was also really cool to me.
You really got her look down pat here. Even the tied up parts of her hair look like they came straight from the show. Amazing!

how'd you make your braids? i'm cosplaying as soifon soon and i'm completely stumped on how to go about making them >.<

X___X I'm so sorry this is late! Life, it makes it hard to reply to messages in a timely fashion. D:
The braids are made up of pieces of thick rope (which forms the main body), hair extensions lashed onto the rope near the ends, and it's all covered in a four-strand braid (I don't remember the exact process of doing a four-strand braid, but I'm sure you can find it on Google). And then the braids are simply pinned into the wig. ^^

how do you plan on doing your suzumebachi? i would like and idea so when i do soi fon <3

My plan is to first cut out paper patterns, and after making sure everything fits/looks right, I'd use craft foam as the base for the arm guard (probably try to mold it using heat so it's a good fit) and then go over it with a smooth paper mache mixture. For the claw, I actually put it together with a heavier paper to start with, so I'll probably just paper mache right over that and skip the craft foam step.
All in theory, of course.

thats good...paper mache is really light, and when i made my boomerang for sango from inuyasha, i used mache and insulation foam

Yep, that's my plan anyway.
I keep hearing/seeing the wonders of paper mache, so now I have to use it. @_@ My friend made her Tobi mask out of paper mache, and the thing came out so good. Yes, lightweight is very good. XD LOL I was originally going to make my brother's Grimmjow mask out of sculpy, but then I switched it to paper mache, since the thing was getting ridiculously heavy. O__o
