Description
Queen Medb (pronounced “Maeve”), was the Queen of Connacht, according to Irish mythology. It was said that no king could reign in Connacht unless married to Medb, who was believed to hold the sovereignty in her person. Of her, it was said that she was “never without one man in the shadow of another”.
During her lifetime, Medb had several husbands, and demanded of them three things—that he be without fear, meanness, or jealousy. The last was particularly important, as she had many lovers. Apparently, it took *ahem* seven men to satisfy her…
One of her favoured methods of selecting a husband was to encourage a potential candidate to duel her present husband, and should the challenger be victorious, his reward... would be the kingship. (For a while, anyway 
)You may have noticed the stoat peeping over Medb’s shoulder… Well~ it seems that the little fellow was perhaps the Queen’s one true love. Knowing something of her feelings for the creature, Ulster warrior and hero, Cúchulainn, slung a stone at it whilst it was perched upon Medb’s shoulder by her neck, and killed it.

The piece is a compilation of 13 photographic images, combined with digital painting. The model is not me, but a "stock" photograph.

True, she was killed by a piece of cheese. But one her nephew, Furbaide Ferbend, killed her while she was bathing with his sling. He killed her to avenge his mother, Maeve's sister, whom she killed.

Holy crap this.........is.........STUNNING. Her beauty just shines radiantly and she has that very sexy look. Anyway enough with me drooling over her haha, i have seen other of your arts and i envy you really haha amazing and very talented artist you are. Im irish and in the history books she was a bit ugly maybe if she was like this i would have paid more attention haha.

Then again, Lord of the Rings queens wouldn't get taken out by a friggin piece of cheese. You throw a piece of cheese at Eowyn or Galadriel, and all you have is a very pissed off queen ready to kick your ass.
