Now, personally, I see Tikal having more grit than that. She's seen the worst her own race could come up with and not only did she not cry, she stood up to the evil, even though it cost her: her life.
I can't see Tikal crying like a baby over this. I can see her feeling for them yes, but she's stronger than most people, so she can take their pain and endure it with stoic strength.
