... mom always found a way to show Maya how much she hated her. She hated her for everything she did. Just for her existance. She always wished to know who was her dad so she'd have someone to kick. But Maya... didn't understand anything of what was going on. It took her twice as long to age mentally than me. Soon it was more like I was her older brother. Mom hated her for that as well. Don't know if she knew that it was her own fault. Many times I tried to run away from home together with her. I just couldn't bear it anymore, seeing how Maya's being treated like less that rubbish while making me feel like I was a prince. Dad wasn't any better either. But that was really no surprise as she wasn't related to him at all. Well, Maya didn't want to go. She really didn't understand what was going on. She had no clue why they were always so happy when she talked about spending a few days at a friend's... *sigh* but what should I have done? I was just a little kid... but probably a bit too intelligent for my age..."-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damn, I really want a newer version of openCanvas... but that would involve MONEY... which I don't have T_T just like them...

This is an amazing picture...the story fits it well too. But what really ets me is not the picture, the looks on their faces, or the story behind(under) it...but the fact that there are people out there that have to live like that. You did a fantastic job capturing the emotion of the pic. Great Job!

That is really emotive; both the writing and the picture. I only saw that there was writing up there after looking at it twice, though. It's really hard to read, but that doesn't take away from it.
