There really isn't enough Zecora art around so I figured I'd try my hand at her in the a journey themed piece.

This is a great piece! I absolutely love it. I do have to agree with you about not enough Zacora fanart out there. Now, about your work here. The shading is great, very consistent. The whole idea behind the drawing is great. Most people don't even bother to remember that she had to have come a long way to get to Ponyville. Anyway, great lead lines back to the mountain and then up to the edge of the drawing. The sand storm in the background kinda leads its way up behind Zecora. I really like the idea of the cloth with words on the stone, and the sun behind the mountain. Over all, a great work. Hope to see more soon.

Zecora looks a little bit strange, but the rest of the picture is breathtaking. Looking at the dusty clouds almost makes me believe that they're alive.

Oh you want a critique on this ok, seeing as your far better then me I don't think I have a lot i can say on it but I will say these things.
What you did right
-The Clouds are amazing they look so nice and they have the right right amount of dusty red look that makes you know that they are just full of the desserts sand.
-Speaking of sand the way that you use red and purple to shade the sand it great I can still tell that the the rain is kinda a orange-ish yellow even if most of it is in fact colored a more maroon color.
-I just want to say that the ribbon looks great.
-The lighting around that mountain off in the distance is also very nice and makes it stand out. I feel kinda like its some objective that zecora is trying to make it to.
Things you are still did really good but are the only thing that i can think you could improve.
-I feel like with the soft sand you could have some kinda interaction with the zebra and the sand. prehaps s bit of built up sand from the wind blowing it.
-I also feel like the shades on the zecora are not as apparent on the shades on everything else but this is ok because the zerba is kinda the focus point but I do think it would be cool if the shade was more prominent.
-I.. thats it... your too good for me find anything else.

Yeah one of my original plans was to have more interaction but after working on it straight for so long the idea eventually was forgotten. I was indeed trying to emphasize Zecora a little by changing up her shading in places compared to the background just to make her stand out more from the mountain that seems to drag your eye towards it. Will have to do some more experimenting ^~^
