Because if there's anything that Deviantart needs these days, it's more poniesThis started out with me putting "rapunzel pony" into DA's search bar because I was wondering how cute people would draw her as a pony and I was shocked I got zero results. People ponify EVERYONE, why didn't anyone ponify her yet? Thought it was madness to have DA lacking a Rapunzel Pony, so here she is.
The uber-long hair really gave me a hard time even though I usually love drawing hair, but all the twirling was more difficult than I expected.
If you've watched the movie you'll know why her tail has a different color than the mane.
Was thinking about making her a pegasus pony, but I thought it would contradict with her "being stuck in a tower" issue.
Thought about making her a unicorn since she can use some sort of magic, but in the end it's the hair doing the magic.
As for the cutie mark, I was also thinking about putting the frying pan there or the sun from the lanterns, but in the end I rather went with the flower.
EDIT (July 31st): O.O Was Deviantart's search bar broken? Because when I search for a Rapunzel pony now I get results. WTF?! Why NOW that I'm done?

Probably, but I didn't want to cut it short. Drawing the long hair was way more fun, so the tail sort of stands for that brown strand she had since she was young.

I really like her hair, and I feel sorry that it was so much trouble to do.

That's somewhat disappointing, but now I know why I didn't recall that crown and that cloth she's wearing being in the movie and also why the yellow flower looks different.

Doll maker or hand drawn, it just showed that your's wasn't the first like you thought.
But I will admit, your hand drawn one is better in my opinion. I think these doll maker programs(Sailor Scout, MLP, etc) take away the satisfaction of having your own original design, no matter how you dress up the doll, they all look the same or they're posed the same way. Can't really call someone an artist if they use a maker program rather than actually drawing with their own 2 hands.

Well, I was looking for someone who DREW a Rapunzel pony, in other words something personal that shows how the artist sees the character, not someone else's art combined in a way that resembles Rapunzel, that's just not the same.

That's why I like to make (I think those spaces are called paragraphs?) between each topic or thought. It makes it easier too than a block of letters that looks like it could smash me
So I don't really mind the long comments as long as they have some structure.

That's actually rather a relieve because it shows that the world isn't upside down. No Rapunzel pony at all was a scary thought.
She should have put "Rapunzel" in the tags... made me go through the trouble of drawing one, tsk tsk tsk

The Starz channel just recently had a "coming soon" preview so yes it's almost here. Starz has them earlier than HBO sometimes.
I noticed the other had her hair braided too, probably would've been a pain for you to do.
