Hi, I'm here to give your piece a critique !

I really like the mist (not familiar with the series, so I apologize if I got the terminology wrong) effect here; if eyes are windows into the soul, then it looks like the boy's soul is getting sucked out here . I'm not an expert at lighting, but I feel that you've highlighted/shaded more or less the right areas; that said, given the blue and green colors of the mist, I think that you can add some greenish tinges to the highlights as well .

Because there's a lot of detail in the character and mist, I think that having all these bubble particles in the background makes your piece look busy; I would suggest going for a solid background to let your subjects shine . For the eyes, I also suggest making the highlights opaque; as seen here , the boundaries between the iris and pupil should be obscured at the location of the highlight.
