Description
Oil on wooden panelhere I wanted to create the feeling of my aunt who has been an prima ballerina at the royal opera of Antwerp for several years. After a career of 30 years she opened a bar to be able to provide in her needs.( being in the spotlights) This story didn't have an happy ending witch I subtle tried to refere to in this painting, by placing the creased picture at the center. Behind the fallen curtain you can see the other side, the garden of eden where only the celebreties wander and forfill there dreams. Mmmmm...

That story sounds very interesting. I dance too!ballet and jazz. I use to love ballet more than jazz but i am starting to like jazz better. Ballet is killing me well not really but its reallly hard. been doing it for 7yrs now into 8th year and still no pointe shoes. jazz taking second year of it and its a lot better.
