oil on canvas . The story of the Sunhorses inpired me to make this painting. This is the story of the horses owned by the God, I believe it was Zeus. Whenever the horses catch a glimps of sunlight they revail tremendess powers.Vulcano, the God of the underworld and Zeus biggest rival wants to destroy the horses. He holds the power over the seacreatures and forces them to lure the horses into the sea. Dimming the light of the sun with a stormy sky, the horses are powerless and will shurly drown. Bud then Zeus opens up a little crack in the cloudy sky, allowing the Sunhorses to catch a glimps of sunlight. Ofcourse they then take off and the story has a happy ending...

Wow! It seems like the seahorses and the sirens are suddenly transformed into marble statues. Wonderful use of light; we could easily see this artwork in Versailles or in Firenze and people would say : what a beautiful masterpiece of the 17th-18th century!
