I gotta start working on these pages earlier. Maybe it would be accurate if I said my schedule was "Updates every weekend". By the way, Slightly Damned's 5th anniversary is in two weeks (the 14th). I don't have anything special planned.Regarding the page itself: I had a hell of a time trying to think of what Kieri could say in the second the last panel. I wanted to show that she was scared of Buwaro, but I didn't want her to say something too blatantly mean or out of character. Thankfully, my friend Tucker helped me and I think it worked out alright.
Please don't be too quick to think that Kieri is a horrible person. You have to remember that she was raised her whole life believing that Demons were terrible monsters, and that she thought Buwaro was the sole exception. Now she's just found out that the only thing holding Buwaro back is a piece of jewelry.

This is why I don't read things immediately after they come out. There's always some cliffhanger that makes me wish the next one already existed.

Nice comic but on the quicke to Judge thing. I think Kieri is a bit dense to suddenly be afraid of Buwaro. I mean. She just read everything we saw in the flash back which means she read about all those nice little demons like Buwaro's siblings and his dad's protectiveness over an unhatched Buwaro. Not to mention she also read about Angels down their doing some pretty nasty things such as killing demon children. Also there's the fact that Angels are responsible for Buwaro being Born in a Berserk State. You'd think she'd now feel shocked and scared of her own people's actions all things considering. I mean I could see a little fear but the main thing I'd think she should feel is regret and sorrow that it was fellow angels that did such horrible things.
Phew. OK Rant over. *Sits back and waits for next page to see wither he should start tossing rotted fruit at Kieri.*

Look at it this way: imagine you have a fear of canines. A rabid wolf is front of you, held back by a thin piece of rope. He's hungry and wants to tear out your throat. You know it was your own mother who put that wolf there.
Does that mean the wolf isn't dangerous anymore?
It's safe to assume that Kieri is feeling a whole lot of conflicting emotions right now, but her fear of the "rabid wolf" that is Buwaro is overpowering them. There's also the betrayal she feels from Rhea from keeping her in the dark. Kieri is capable of coming around and accepting Buwaro's condition, but right now she's having a bit of a breakdown. You have to consider that it's just not realistic to expect somebody to think calmly and rationally about everything before taking action.

Hmmmmm. Point taken. Especially considering I used to be afraid of dogs. Now it's only the big ones and only to a certain degree. But Yeah I guess I can see how fear would sort of override her logic with this. I guess it's just I didn't see this coming. I assumed if anything it would reinforce things with her and Buwaro. Then again once she works through her fear that make well be the case. *Puts away fruit and gets box of tissues for inevitable tears.*

I'm going to have to agree with Lig. Wasn't she paying attention? Doesn't she realize that it was angels who did this to him? It would be interesting if she told him, since he can't read angelic, which is the language the book was written in.

You bring up a good point, however the real problem here in lies with now that Keiri knows Buwaro's one swift tug (like getting the neckless snagged on something) away from going awall, will she continue to stay with them, fearing that in the initial contact between her brother and Buwaro (which is almost assuredly going to result in a brawl) will Buwaro lose said neckless and slaughter her brother,if not everyone around.

Biggest mistake she could make now is saying all demons are evil, n Bwuaro thinks of his sister, wonder what his reaction would be too the thought of someone labling his sister evil after what she did for him

The only way this could have gone worse, was if they told her just how exactly Rhea found out about this little secret.
Although I feel for both of them, I mean yeah sure Buwaro's been lying to her for all this time, but the only reason he's mental unstable is because when he was still in the egg (man that sounds weird) Angels tried to kill him.
Now that I think about it, there isn't much difference between Angels and Demons, I mean sure Demons take glee in torture evil souls, but Angels (on the same token) seem to have no qualms in slaughtering demons. Their reasons being that Demons are evil for punishing the wicked souls of mortals, but when you think about it, isn't even crueler to kill beings that have no afterlife, to permanently extinguish a life then to merely end it for a time.
