Description
I have an unhealthy obsession with portraying dromaeosaurs with quail-like plumage. Wing, tail, and shoulder patterns of my own invention. This is Tianyuraptor ostromi, calling to attract a mate on a rocky outcrop overlooking a forest. I had something in mind of a willow ptarmigan call.

I listened to Misty Mountains (yes, the Hobbit song) while drawing this; pretty appropriate considering the setting is a cloudy and misty outcrop, and this raptor is mostly based on a mountain quail.
