Description Different candle holders for Christmas sales in Kustavi. Making these traditional cone shapes is nice so there could be more holders to come.

How are the cones made?
Are they made separately, then welded on?
is the holder made of big steel with the shaft drawn out?

I guess so... still they are creepy, IMO.

After evaluating all of the work you have done, the least I can do for your efforts is Feature you in my Journal for as long as DeviantArt exists, and as long as you are a member of this site.

Your efforts will not go unseen and uncared for!

As for these candles, they are very simplistic and look like what you would see in an old 1800's house as dinner table pieces, or candles in the windowpane.

That is a highly noble thing to do. Thank you.

I love the ones on the far right. They look like they're kneeling.

What did you make these from, cast iron? The hammer marks are really nice, and add to the aesthetic.

Personally, I would buff the hell out of them, then lightly mist them with some black paint. But that's my personal preference.

Thank you. The ones on the far right really are kneeling. 'Candle holder' is 'kynttilΓ€njalka' in Finnish which literally means 'candle foot' so making holders with actual feet is a practical pun. Because of the kneeling pose people have called them "proposal candle holders".

These were not cast but forged. The hammer marks are there because that's what they were made with.

The surface is tar-burned to black but I could also have polished them with wax afterwards. Burning with tar or oil is a traditional way to do finishing to forged items so I scarcely use black paint.
