Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees. In order to solve your problems, you may need to take a step back to look at the bigger picture; maybe your emotions are clouding your judgement and you need to take a colder, more clinical view to find the solution. That's probably what the Hermit is trying to tell you, and your best bet would be to take a leaf out of Shockwave's book. He's as cold and clinical as they come - he'll help you find your answer.
