Description Limited in his nature, infinite in his desires,
Man is a fallen god who remembers heaven.

The CF-208 is the replacement for both the CF-205 and CF-126. Both heavily upgraded to keep up with American F-27's and British Warspites, it was eventually realized that by 2050, Canada couldn't expect the aging birds to make up for the small size of the RCAF. Two designs, a Boeing and Avro design went head to head. Avro's design was ultimately chosen because of economic reasons more than anything. Boeing was at no loss, it's design ending up in the hands of many of the US's other allies.

In 2061, the CF-208 arrived, replacing the remaining CF-205 Mk.IV's in Canada's arsenal, and supplementing it's CF-205 Mk.VII's. It also replaced the African Federations CF-126 raiders as well.

Unlike the CF-205, the CF-208 is designed with the multi-role in mind. CF-205's were never very good at Air to Ground missions, forcing the RCAF to rely on allies to undertake that role, or risk using the old CF-126 Mk.XII "Bomb Raiders", which were torn apart during WW3. The CF-208 can complete both planes roles and do both of them better.

The CF-208 had a trail by fire, fighting the TNI-AU's Su-54 Focal's. The Canadian Raven's helped win and maintain an air dominance zone over Ventos de Oceano

CF-208's are also a major part of NADC Europe. They are capable of taking off from short paved roadways, using wing mounted rocket packs to take off. The only other plane that can do that is the British/German Warspite, which isn't as capable an interceptor.

Weapons:
AIR
Bombardier Iron Burgonets (Short Range high maneuverability)
Candair Iron Gauntlets (older over the horizon missiles, considered medium range)
Bombardier Steel Gauntlets (new over the horizon missile, considered long range)

GROUND
AGM-154
CVR-7PG or LAU-131A GATR laser guided rocket launcher
MK-80 series
GBU-37C

GUN
Mauser BK-27

COUNTERMEASURES
Hues AVEAS A (for Acadia fans, this is something similar to but less effective than what Hybrids have)

MISCELLANEOUS
Conformal Fuel Tanks (For deep strike missions, rarely used)
Chuker RATO pods
Raven Eye pods (gives the plane a "look down shoot down" capability, similar to Battlespace 360 on British Jets in RS)

Side note, I ruined the original trying to charcoal it, and was forced to make a new one. No worries though, I think this one is pretty as well

no offense, but you say that it is a capable attack jet yet from looking at the weapon selection for the role, it doesn't seem that way

CF-18 doesn't have that much more in the ways of AG weapons. Still, you have guided bombs, guided missiles, guided rockets, unguided bombs and unguided rockets... what else would you have?

The plane actually has less in the ways of Air to Air weapons

You know when I say attack, that doesn't mean it's a dedicated bomber...

Ouch, it often happens to me to ruin some fairly nice pencil drawings with ink. X_X

Worse things have happened I can usually recreate my jets fairly quickly anyway. The only real problem with the Raven though is that its wing set up is particularly hard to recreate.

But I know that feel. Pens are mean, unforgiving little buggers.

Yeah, it's reminiscent of the YF-23. Do you draw them free handed or you sketch lightly with shapes first?

Interesting. The F-104 Starfighter and F-35 were my references. But it's good to see that it reminds you of a modern jet after all the messing around I did.

Usually I do a lot of shapes and lines, but this plane felt like something was off. While the body and the tail plane were done with basic shapes and rulers, the wings are freehand. They are of course off because of that, but I like them more this way

Yeah, imperfections do make something look better sometimes.
