Ironically, fluffy, fluffy Tintin - with his super thick and semi-long winter coat - really doesn't like the cold. Β
So when there's snow outside he prefers it if the sun is also up when he goes out. Which is when you can get Tintin's fur to shine bright orange just like this in a photo.
And no editing needed! Love it!

Aww, yeah... That light. I wish I ALWAYS had that light. 
It's so much easier to take pretty photos if the sun cooperates, I think.

Which is part of why I'm really happy about this photo. 
Tintin's fur is amazingly soft and fluffy.
And it sticks to everything so the price to pay for cuddling with him is looking like an light orange carpet of fur afterwards. Worth it though... Β

I totally understand. ._. I live in a place where...probably the majority of our time it's always very cloudy. I mean, it's great for taking pictures too, but sometimes I wish it was more sunny.Β

Tintin is by far my most well-liked cat in photos. It's rather interesting. People must really like ginger cats. Or it's because of how he stands out so well.

I'd love to get a DD one day though. It's waaaaaaaay up there on my wishlist.
But, oh well... I'll keep on working and trying to improve. Doesn't really matter that much.

was up to me I would give it to myself. Maybe one day
you will get one, Ive seen so pics that didnt even deserve

I've heard that a lot of people suggest their own works for DDs, but I just can't find the stomach to do that. Β
In fact, I think it should always be suggested by someone else to feel like a truly well-deserved DD.
At least that's what my conscience tells me. I wouldn't dream of suggesting myself. Seems like hubris.

But I'm sure it'll be over-looked anyway. I think another cat photo got a DD not long ago. Then it'll take quite a while before there will be another one, I think.

I always want the nature in the background to be part of the photo. The garden and nature around my home play such a big role in the cats' lives. And mine.

I dont see any reason why it would be over looked

I've never gotten a DD so it would be a very big thing for me.
I've trained a lot with my camera and gotten a lot better at capturing the cats the last couple of years.
When I began it took a lot of luck to get a really good photo in one session. Now I feel confident that I will get a bunch of good photos each time I go out. And that feels really great.

The snow only stayed for three or four days and only one had proper sunlight.
I dropped everything and spent that day outside with my camera and cats. Well worth it.
