Tools Used: Watercolours, nice paper, white gouache

AAAH WATERCOLOURS I love the watercolour paper I have, I really do It's just such nice paper and I love watching the paint actually DO WHAT I WANT on the nice surface. Essentially, after getting a decent result with Levi, I just reused the same palette of colours (because watercolours don't dry out ) for Mikasa, because honestly I didn't even have to change the hair colour However, I think I was using the paint far too much like markers, and so the result doesn't really show off any watercolour techniques But hey, I still have all the leftover colours, so next time I'll definitely be doing some of that properly

I actually just drew the flower as an extension of her scarf, but then I looked up the flower and turns out the calla lily is a popular choice at funerals, and I just went, "Pretty much." Poor Mikasa. Every time I rewatch the series I just want to replay the scene where Eren gives Mikasa the scarf; itís so small a piece of happiness compared to the absolute hell she's been through, but it's something. I like the effects I'm getting with watercolour right now, so I'll probably be drawing more (also because I have to draw 4 more drawings before 2014 to make my resolutions for this year
