Description
I had time to blast my way through Bloodstained over the last few days. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and even without having played the games it serves as a spiritual successor to, even I could tell that it was dripping in Castlevania, and it did a lot to sate my need for Metroid-esque exploration. It was a pleasant surprise to find that equipped gear shows up on the character - all with unique models - along with hairstyles and the option to change the colour of her hair, eyes, clothes, and even skin. However, despite dozens and dozens of headpieces, weapons and boots, when it comes to her actual outfit... there is a grand total of two. Only a single item in the entire game changes her outfit, and it's not even that different. This is despite all the items having appearances shown in menus, and some of which look really nice. In particular, I was quite taken by the Coronation Gown, and was rather annoyed when the game shot down my need for fabulousness. So, I took measures into my own hands and dressed up Miriam in my interpretation of the gown.
It's not exactly practical for platforming around a giant castle full of murderous demons, but I refuse to ignore the call of fashion.
