Not the movie, sorry no. Though I liked that movie. No, here is Fawkes the phoenix. I always imagined that Phoenixes (that is a bitch to type) would look like herons, just with extra long tails and head feathers. So I found a few reference pictures and doodled away.Fawkes © J.K. Rowling

Well, then you were more along the line of the Egyptian, Benu. Not the firy bird in the traditional sense, but a heron that would rise with the morning sun and was associated with immortality and Osiris.

Wow, amazing! I always imagined phoenixes looking like eagle/parrot types with hooked beaks and long tail feathers. But this is beautiful, I could also imagine them as herrons! Now every time I see a heron fly over my house I'll think of this

Well, its not the plural that gets me, see, I have the urge to spell it p-h-E-O-n-i-x. Cause in my head phEO makes more sense cause of the "ee" sound. But nooo it's all phOE pssssht. Lol it just confuses me >_<
