Traditional media: watercolors on bristol board. The theme was pointilism, which isn't something I've ever tried before (in watercolor particularly) so it was a ton of fun.

In celebration of the official release of maps of other Griffian continents & species, I thought it'd be cool do do an 'over the horizon' theme for this DTA! People have attempting round-the-world balloon trips for a long time, and the first successful solo flight (the previous had two people) was actually only in 2002 (it took just over two weeks)! Interestingly, only last September someone beat that time record. #balloonfacts

In this painting our balloonist is obviously not travelling, but I like to think they're considering it! Bon voyage!
