Description Schuld: german word meaning responsible, guilty or blame 

A monster found in silent hill, it can be manifested by those who have committed a great amount of crime.

The creature shivers as if it was cold and it seems to behave aggressively. They seem to make abnormal movements as thought it was drugged. Their constant moaning can be heard from a far distance and they seem to always make disturbing sounds that can only be described as something slidering or wet. A schuld's  appearance consist of a male figure with a trumpet like apandage or mask attached to they're heads. Theyr body's, mostly their feets and genitals are always stained with black inklike dirt and Their hands seems to be fused together with an exposed spherical organ that posses a lip or mouth. A transparent sharp tongue extends out of this mouth which schulds uses for attacking with a 50% chance of poisoning its victims.

Simbolism:
the trumpet like mask attached to a schuld's head signifies how many people view criminals as monsters. The fused hands of a schuld might be a metaphor of guilt as thought it was handcuffs made in flesh, and the mouth located in their fused hands represent its crime. Since their is a sharp poisonous tongue coming out of that mouth, it might very well symbolize
destroyed innocence. The creature also seems to caught dark liquid trough its trumpet-like mask which could possibly represent diseases mostly STDs. Which might hint the creature's overall symbolism to represent a sexual predator.

My original silent hill concept art of a monster I created. I got inspired by Masahiro Ito, the art director and monster designer of the first 3 silent hill games his monsters were so creative and awesomely creepy!! Definitely one of my favorite artist so I wanted to do his bald point pen drawing style hope I did okay

Personal rant:
By the way if this was a monster for downpour, it would have replaced the prisoner monsters. Silent hill downpour's monster were so lame!!! And not creative at all. They were just doods with sweat pants...seriously??? WTF!! SH monsters are abominations!!! Not shirtless doods with sweatpants. Don't get me started with the others the only one I liked were the dolls... That's about it.......

These are really nice. I really think you captured the SH feel. But! I think it would be cool if you could make other types of mouth, since these all seem to have the "closer" mouth. I'd like to see what else you're able to make!

Thanks! , their not actually "closer" mouths, their more "flesh lips" and "abstract daddy" mouths. In this case, the schulds have indeed two different types of mouths, one protruding from their trumpets while the other one that's more "flesh lips" moth between its fused arm. But I get what you mean. You can always check my other monsters that are more divers in appearance

THANK YOU, fully agree on the lameness of the Down-poor-taste monsters... I mean, that "Barbie" monster made me vomit in my mouth, looked like a lame copy of some RE failure, not Silent Hill at all!!

Thank you so much!!!! Glad you like it and I'm also glad that you agree with me , all of downpour's monster were really uninspired. And yea specially the boogeyman looked like a cheap rip-off of the hammer guy from RE 5 as well as the axe killer from deadly premonition. If the monsters from downpour were visually terrifying like Masahiro Ito's, than I would've like it more. I mean come on, classic silent hill monsters were about anatomical body's that some were disfigured and all monsters ether had a lip for a face or orifices and some had weird ass appendages. I kind of liked the dolls but as a silent hill monster? Nope XP if anything, downpour reminded me a bit too much of Alan Wake and the suffering.

LOL, I thought that exact thing when I saw the Bogeyman, "WTF, that's a RE monster, NOT SILENT HILL!!!"
Fully agree, Masahiro's creations were psychologically terrifying, and that was what made them so unique, they offended the psyche!

And I love the Suffering, so glad another person knows of it. But The Suffering is definately NOT Silent Hill, though I'm sure Torque would have an interesting Silent Hill trip if he ever went there....

Exactly, Ito's monsters were very offensive to the psyche and so freaky!! Even today, I still feel so freaked out, every time I encounter his genius creations.

I'm in love with this piece, original silent hill concepts done well like this with one catch my attention and deserved to be recognized, amazing job!!!!!! I completely agree with the monster design for silent hill downpour being an absolute failure in creativity which is why a avoided the game, this monsters design looks like it would fit into silent hill 3 well but I wish this would of been in downpour instead those shirtless dudes with sweatpants, I think konami should browse through deviantart to find a new creative team lol and idk bout that book of memories game either, something doesn't feel right about it though I haven't looked into it much. Lol now I'm starting to go off into a rant stellar job on this though

I put allot of thought into this monster so I'm really glad your loving this piece and yea, downpour didn't even felt like a silent hill game, there's just so many problems with that game alone, but thanks again, glad you think this would fit in SH3 and downpour lol!! totally agree that konami should check this site out for a creative team and ugh don't even bother with book of memory's. They practically trashed the franchise by turning it into a diablo game...
But I heard that konami asked Hideo Kojima the creator of Metal Gear series to make the next silent hill. So I still have hope that this will save the franchise and trust me Hideo knows how to make freaky stuff 8D I also heard that Masahiro Ito would love to be involved on the next SH game!!!

Your welcome, I think I can finally rest happily knowing that Hideo Kojima and Masahiro Ito are working on the next silent hill so there maybe hope after all for the series,book of memories sounds bad because silent hill worked because of the creepyness,surealness/abstractness, the atmosphere, and the mystery, im gonna be honest silent hill games aren't the funnest games controlwise except maybe silent hill 5 which I rather enjoyed the extra mechanics, but its everything like that that makes it incredible and if you take away the style that made it a hit in the first place there is no way it can be good, and the second movie I don't have to say much about how bad it was, dam I even had the whole movie theater to myself to.

Yea me too, especially after watching this vid [link] it made me believe that he can make a silent hill game cause its quite freacky I bet he's gonna pull some psychomantis to it I'm still not sure if masahiro ito is working with him but I hope so, all I heard is that he would like to work on the next SH game and I know what you mean about homecoming, to be honest, I didn't like it much because it felt to much like Zelda to me. Which was pressing a,a and x dodge and so on to fight, plus it killed the horror aspect. The first SH 1 trough 4 were actually simple and genius. It was suppose to be that way cause the protagonist were everyday people, not trained fighters, yet it took skill to know how to fight well without getting chewed. It also encouraged you to run away from monsters. In homecoming, you basically wanted to kill anything instead of running away because of how capable Alex is, which is now action horror instead of what SH is suppose to be I would've like homecoming more if it didn't copy almost everything from the movie in general. Plus the story was pretty predictable it reminded me too much of SH 2 with the whole amnesia and killing a relative, it's like that team ran out of ideas, I,m not saying that homecoming was that bad because I still enjoyed playing it, but not as much as the first 4 games that each one were very deaf rent from one another. Another thing is that they put pyramid head their for no real reason which bothered me allot. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed it more than downpour lol, the only thing I like about downpour is the exploration. And omg!!! That sounds so bad lol, I actually saw the second movie in YouTube XD it's really bad. But I still have hope for the series's savior

The video looks very promising maybe he has a good chance saving the series and hopefully with masahiro ito included for like the monster design,though it does have a chance of slightly maybe ending up coming out like another homecoming if they make it to actiony which isn't to much of a bad thing since I rather enjoyed homecoming as far as playing it though it wasnt much scary, games that encourage you to run away from the monsters are scariest cause if it to actioney confronting a new enemy might be scary at first but if you can dodge and able to beat it down its not as scary anymore. Maybe silent hill homecoming was the way it was cause Alex Shepard was in the military so he did have an excuse to be combat capable but I hope the next protagonist isn't very much so. I thought the way the pyramidhead scene was done was cool when I first saw it because I was clueless about silent hill at the time I played but I grew to dislike it because there was no reason he should of been there. That whole second movie made me furious I was like yelling at the movie screen lmao I was looking forward to that movie for years n they just fucked it up, the worst part was I just played and beat the third game before that movie so I exactly that they fucked up everything horribly, lol I can go on about that movie all day.I'm pretty mad cause yesterday I finally got silent hill 4 after looking for it forever, but like the day before I lent out my ps2 controller to a friend lol, Iam not looking forward to those ghost cause I can't deal with freaky unkillable things that follow you in games.

Yea it's quite awesome, and yup I know what you mean, I read that he recognises about silent hill not being all action so his just going to focuse more on the graphic quality, plus he might make it a bit stealthy too since mgs is a stealth action game. Maybe he'll make it that you'll need to hide from enemy's sometime he also knows how to make great story's too, I just hope it's not about redemption, most people think that silent hill is about facing our demons and redeeming our selfs from our sins but that's not true. The first game was about saving your daughter from an actual demon cult. The second game was about redemption for what James did to his wife. Third was about the continuation about the first. And the fourth is....oh You haven't played it yet? Well it's awesome that you have it now but ahh sucks that you don't have your ps2 at the moment, that game is so freaky!! Probably the scariest silent hill game trough the whole game your going to be like wtf is going on??? Lol trust me, it's pretty freacky. And omg!!! I know how that feels, after SH 3 I saw the movie and I was just going insane, and seriously??? Vincent? A love interest for heather??? Wtf?? What bothers me too about him is that in the end, heather's dad is like okay Vincent, (guy I never seen and don't really know about) I'm gonna leave my daughter for you to protect while I look for my trapped wife.......yea I was pulling my hair off... And my hair isn't even long lol XD but anyways yea silent hill 4 is pretty awesome. Enjoy your playtrought when you do

Oh shit lol I forgot about how stealthy those mgs where, if the silent hill game is like that its gonna be freakin terrifying. I've seen walkthroughs of the fourth one its gonna be a bad time just with the ghost lol but otherwise ill b fine with the other aspects and enjoy it, I just remember being at one of my old friends house when I was a little kid and we where panicking like hell as some old grandma ghost was following him through the subway part. Lol I was freakin laughing out of insanity at Vincent being a love interest cause if I remember straight in the game heather hated that dude n he was wierd as hell XD

Yea mgs was a pretty stealthy game and oh yes! It would indeed be terrifying if silent hill were to be like that shattered memory's had the option of hiding yourself in a closet while the monsters left. But that was kind of laughable do to the fact that the little monsters in that game only wanted to hug you lol, but if the monsters were more terrifying and actually wanted to kill you instead of hugging you, than it should be indeed horrifying. Like amnesia: the dark decent. The game is pretty scary,specially cause you can't fight back. Yea the ghosts in the game were creepy alright but the one that got me was Richard Braintree, he's ghost glitches back and fourth and it scared the crap out of me the first time I fought him. Lol that's hilarious what happened to you and friend with the grandma ghost, I'd bee panicking to, my favorite sh 4 monster would have to be the twin victims, they are quite creative and disturbing and lol I know right? Heather totally didn't trust Vincent. Vincent was a hypocrit dressing in nice clothes but is pretty much a weird ass smart ass lol, he be messing with ya every time heather talked to him , and was not the boring little teenage boy of the movie XP

Yeah silent hill should be more like amnesia it be perfectly horrifying. the monsters from amnesia look like they can fit into silent hill anyways though that mouth guy looks pretty goofy up close. I never looked much into silent hill shattered memories the monsters seemed pretty dull looking to me sorta of like downpour. Lol I love the twin victims they inspired me to draw creepy baby monsters of my own.

Funny thing is, amnesia got completely inspired on silent hill and yea that should be quite terrifying indeed, not being able to fight back. But I prefer that you can grab a pipe to defend yourself and try to survive, of course I be fine if there were a few parts were you were defenseless and need to run and hide. Like that time in SH2 in the hotel, there's an elevator that won't carry to much weight so you have to put every weapon and item from your inventory to a safe. That part was pretty scary. Yea the monsters in shattered memories didn't look to good at all lol they are pretty much in the level as downpour, the only one I liked were the abstract raw shocks. And Yeaya twin victims are awesome, I to get inspired by them to draw baby monsters like this one [link]
