Hey there,this is actually some old Tumblr post of mine.
back in the days when i was practicing explosions - which is from last year (not sure if i could do any better now since i didnt get to animate some until then)
i thought this one looks nice so i upload to dA ~

Hmm naja... manche machen noch soviel drumherum... mit Lichtpunkten usw. das es richtig gewaltig ausschaut ... und dagegen ich finde deine Version mit 2 Farben schlicht und schΓΆn aber trotzdem ist sie gewaltig und cool

This is good, I would say speed up those frames on the impact and then slow it out as it expands.
