Description "The enormous Amorbis can move through solid rock and earth with ease, and can sense the location of surface-level prey deep within the ground. They will attempt to ram any target they can find in their domain. They are vulnerable to all forms of weapons fire, but are incredibly strong and resistant to pain."
I'm so slow... Basically cleared out all my brush presets and built me a nice palette with a bit more structure. I've suffered from slow brush switching far too long. Time to end this madness!
This started out as a Spitpaint.

The use of color here is gorgeous! It's amazing how much contrast you can still achieve even when "limiting" yourself to a certain palette. There's a great sense of action, and the whole thing looks so alive.

So cool!
Love the coloring! You did a great job bringing out Dark Aether with all of the purples, blacks, and reds!
Ah, remember having a tough time with Amorbis XDD  You portrayed him very well!
Great job!

Thank you! Yeah, purple is underrated. I love the designs and wonder sometimes what MP2 would looke like on a current gen engine with better lighting, etc.

The color scheme and details are absolutely wonderful.
The perspective is pretty good too.
Samus looks a bit awkward, and the picture could be a little more dynamic (ie, more "motion").

Still wonderful.

Yeah, I nailed her pose down way too quickly. There's not much weight shift or anything going on here. Should at least have put her hand onto the arm cannon to bring some more tension in here.
Thank you, especially for actually bringing up the negative points. Really appreciate it.

Thank you so much! It really feels great paying tribute to this series. Has been my main inspiration for sci-fi stuff since the first day I played it.

Yeah same here! I've started making a dark sci-fi comic series and MP2 was one of the inspirations I had for it, even though I ended up using Sonic characters and adjusting the story accordingly. A very inspiring game indeed.
I've seen many FPS games take ideas that Metroid Prime introduced into the gaming world. Halo 4 used plenty of concepts from Prime too, which I like. (I've read that this was because it some of the main developers did a lot of work in the Prime series with Retro previously). The way the prime series looked visually was way ahead of its time too!

Thank you! I wanted to make sure, the purple atmosphere reflected upon the surfaces (something you don't see in the game so much, as far as I know).
