Yosemite Nat'l Park - Tenaya Lake

Ordinarily, any impression of this beautiful 8,500 foot elevation lake in the heart of Yosemite Park would wear the "Landscape" category with ease.

My long-standing mantra of this lake is: "it never freezes." (because it's always seemed to be too large - a mile long x 1/3 mile wide - and it's in a canyon wind tunnel) This winter season proves this statement rather wrong. Well, it not only ices over but does well enough to allow ice skating across the entire surface!

So, adding a good number of people playing on the ice (including hockey!) and it doesn't exactly have the traditional "landscape" feel.
