Description There is a big bird called the pelican, whose beak can hold more than his belly can
He can hold in his beak, enough food for a week, and I'm damned if I know how the hell he can.

Sorry I couldn't get him with a beak full.

Very nice capture. Your pelican is much prettier than mine and that limerick is a hoot.

Very nice Rebecca! How did you get him to sit just so?

These guys are really tame. Local people fish off the pier and handfeed them so you can walk right up to them. I have some real closeups of their heads but they're a bit boring so I haven't posted them.

Some of the locals here are really tame but they won't be hand fed, they'd have your arm off!

That you got him at all is amazing. I've been here for years and never managed it until the other day and even then it was a flyby! I love this shot.

They are very tame here. A lot of people fish on the pier and hand feed them. I could get within a couple of feet of them. I have some closeups of just the head of one that I may post later.

That's pretty lucky. I haven't come across anything like that yet.

You'll just have to take a drive up here. They will pose for you, I promise.
