hm.. I like it on several levels. On the visual level, I think your palettes are always interesting, and the interplay of more abstract blocked out shapes versus the realistic gradients is very stimulating. I also like how muted your pieces are -- there's a sense that you have a great deal more to say than you are saying, which invests the piece with a certain kind of power. Emotionally, I think you also inhabit an interesting space -- it feels very isolated (almost in the sense of a vacuum or outer space), depressed (not in the sense of being sad, but in the sense of being somewhat flattened -- going back to the idea of witholding/being subtle), and yet extremely hopeful, like a light in the darkness.
