Heyas!The neck is feeling much better! Should be 100% by tomorrow, I hope. This here is becoming kinda like a BLOG I guess, which is kinda fun.
I will probably work on this fun little one off piece which darkhorse has asked me to draw today...It's gonna be fun, and I will post the pencils here in the future.
For the sketch of today, I am posting a Sagat piece which I scribbled quite fast. I don't think this was an actual warm-up sketch. Just something I wanted to ink in the future, but never really got around to it. (as yet)
Sagat is just one of those characters you never get tired of drawing. He is a mass of muscle. Classic, simple and iconic design from capcom. I'm sure we will see Sagat pop-up at least once more in this sketch diary week of mine.
I should say that I would like to actually fix certain things in the inks, such as his wierd square jaw in the big head shot....

EDIT: OK...After I got the first couple of comments, it was pointed out that I forgot his chest scar!!! That is like forgetting Batmans ears, or Supermans "S"!!! I know..... So I have now uploaded a new improved version! thanks!

Thats awesome.
In the big head shot he kind of looks like one of the evil giants from the Animated 'BFG' movie.
This is still an awesome picture though.

I just LOVE that bad-@$$ body-shot...really cool!! The headshot although is a bit too exagerated with those elongated proportions for my taste...but hey, tastes differ...

heh....yeah, I ge tthat comment sometimes. I dont know why, but sometimes I draw faces really long... Its kinda fun to really stretch 'em out. This is another piece I would have liked to finish, but just never got around to it.

to me it happens often when I'm not drawing at my inclined drawing-table, but on a normal flat table...
I know what you mean; there are so many scribbles (on paper and in my head...) that I'd like to do and finish up one day...so much to do, so little done!!

Yeah...He's so tall and it makes him impressive. i love the way capcom draws his muscles too.

haha...no problem! I did't feel it to be belated at all!!... I suppose after this sketch week has been and done, I won't post much rough stufff for a while, but I'm glad to see people are enjoying them so far.

Well, I always liked the strong-but-sorta-thin Sagat from SF2 better, but this one is marvelous.You just keep making me smile with those skecthes

I wouldn't say this is my definative version of Sagat, but it was a fun piece to draw. I have another Sagat comming later this week who is a little more Sagatish.

Thanks lion! Glad you like it. All the guys you mentioned have definately tickled my art taste buds at some point or another, and they still do really. There are a lot of other ingredients in the mix too, but I guess I am getting a feel for a style which I can call my own.
