constructive criticism (no dis')...
This particular incarnation of "The Incredible HULK" is looking a lil' more "Solomon Grundy" than "Bruce Banner gone Gamma".
You know I love your art man - just something I noticed.

You've never seen "Solomon Grundy"?
He's like a big Zombie type dude with very pale skin and white hair - his face is very weathered and similar to what you've drawn.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum......He is basically a white version of the Hulk! Pretty spun out. I should be ashamed of myself for not knowing who he was too. Looks like a cool character to draw. I see what you mean now too.
J.
PS: Remember when I was gonna draw that Hulk script you wrote for me back in the day? haha... Probably still got that somewhere.

Thanks dude!! I need to find something more simple for you to vectorise still!! (Of course, let me know if you ever see anything with potential)

I admire how much detail you can accomplish with pencils! And I like this one a lot cuz it made me learn new tricks and techniques at character drawing. You rock dude!

Aside of how could I detail with just pencils, I learn new ways of making "skeletons" using spheres on joints, tubes foir limbs, and not be afraind of letting the rough draft show.

Red-J In reply to Juny [2006-04-01 23:31:29 +0000 UTC]
ah, yes...I see what you mean. It is important to construct your skeletons to create a solid structure. Good point! I guess the biggest difference between a sketch and a finished piece is weather you can see how it was created or not. One of them, anyway.
cheers!

Looks cool man! Loving how you drew his feet!
I also like how you gave Hulk a more profound (not sure if this is the right word for it) chin in the top-right pic.

Red-J In reply to TheNass [2006-04-01 02:46:03 +0000 UTC]
thanks dude! I originally drew his feet in more of a floating position, but then I figured it would look cooler if they were actually standing on solid ground.
