There's a little story behind this...

The original could have it's cockpit detached just like this and the propellers on the leg's sides replaced the cockpits weapons creating a jetpack. So I decided to keep that aspect.

So years ago when this set first came out I had a chance to buy it... but passed it up for another action figure that wasn't as exciting as I thought it'd be. (And my sister got a copy of said figure later, so...) It was always a regret of mine. So! Fifteen years later! I ebayed it! Got it new in box for only 50% more cost. WORTH IT! I enjoy mechs and this one has my favorite colors. I wanted to get more from the line back in the day. I found out with this set the parts were made to be interchangeble and you could place add ons, like on the back. That's another thing I put on this revamp.

So yeah, lego parts have come a long way and I decided to merge some of my sets to create a similar, pose-able, but fresh design. I create a lot of lego things and never post them, so I figure I'd share this for all the people who loved this set.
