Gorgeous work, and love the detail in this piece. If nit-picking, I might suggest adding more hi-light to each scale to make it look "shiny". I love bettas and this really gives a feeling of flowing movement. Well done.

I used to have a fish that looked just like this. He (or she, I never knew the gender) was rainbow colored.
I don't have fish anymore, but betta fish are definitely my favorite.
