I decided to just update the line art version instead of creating another new file. This is the full color final version of:
Captain-General Gareth Bryne and his Aes Sedi Siuan Sanche.
These two were a great deal of work but I am very happy with the end results
Above the line below is the colored version notes.

These two are Siuan and Gareth. I won't ruin anything about them but read book 12. Their story grows greatly.
They are favorites of mine
I will be posting cards of my choice to post for teasers.
These are three from the Wheel of Time card deck that I am making.
The watermark is just in case I end up using this in an official deck.

Yes, I started in Fall 2010 and finished the personal commission that started this all in the Summer of 2011. That's when Ta'veren Tees contacted me and I made 54 all new ones completely fixing the old ones from January to May. Then did a full summer of revisions all in 2012. They were fully approved last August.
Great! I'm glad they arrived.
Oh course, I loved working on these and getting help from the other fans.

Oh, wow, I don't know how you make the characters' faces so full of character and personality, but you do. XD. I love the way you do hair too, especially the grey streaks in Byrne's. His lines/wrinkles are great too, oddly enough. Makes him seem quite knowing, wise and hardened, but without getting soft with age. I can't quite explain.
I also love his armour, and the way their hands are clasped over his sword. Now *that* sounds a bit odd.

hahaha yeah, did not realize the innuendo of the hands. Just wanted to symbolize their relationship. Thank you, I really like showing personality through age. Which made Suian's image tougher. It was important to me to show that Gareth was soft and hardened. I don't mind all of the comments. They are wonderful to read

Okay, Gareth here is GREAT; he looks almost exactly as I picture him (I imagined him with greying brown hair, but that's just me). Well done!

Siuan has Exactly the commanding grace i envisioned, and Gareth is just great detail. the face is perfect for the character...
AND you made them both holding the sword... GENIUS! Maybe you could make one where Siuan has more of a firey gaze that fits her well. You are officially one of my role models now! i love most of what u draw! Great job and once again love that photoshop sooo clean.
Btw im starting to do some WOT characters too i have rough drafts of Uno and Brigitte so far (more comming soon! chek them out and CRITIQUE please

I've always had trouble imagining Siuan. Not so much in the beginning, but her later appearance just didn't match her personality!!!

very, very nice piece - again Siuan (like Faile) was always a difficult character for me to envisage, that problem now sorted! Gareth is the perfect embodiment of the character, love the detail of the armour/breastplate.

when I look at your final product I am amazed to think you ever have trouble envisioning a character. I understand obviously that these are pieces you work at and develop, likely editing again and again until you're happy, but there is a certain... I hesitate to say perfection as it is an immense word when referencing art but I can't seem to find another suitable one so... perfection about the characters that has me feeling that you must have an amazing ability to grasp the written word of Jordan and simply make it so in your mind from the outset. You are a constant, constant inspiration - now if I could be as dedicated at my artform (writing) I might actually make a deadline.... anyway ramble over

lol I know, deadlines are tough. Thank you very much. I held on to this for a while to read a few times. I try to pay close attention to the details that Jordan laid out and since I'm a detail orientated artist his visions really fit my style. Thanks again, I can ramble too
