Wow, you have really cool ideas in all of your pieces. Even if I knew how to do what you do, I wouldn't be able to get the inpiration to make them. These truely are amazing. Good work on all of your pieces, and especially this one. Cant wait to see more of your stuff!!!

hi redniet, on april 18 i commented one of your 'older' works and u suggested i'd do the same for your recent work. so here it is...
for starters i think this particular piece ownz. i like it that u didn't use any typo at all since the brain (my brain?) don't need much else then the plastic language of the graphic. what i find particular interesting is the 'clash' of 2 different plastic languages... imo combining different techniques, materials and thus plastic languages almost always benefits the overall 'feel' of a(ny) graphic (or work of art). in this particular work the (more or less) clean-lined black/white structures interact perfectly with the more fluid colored background & the fluid white parts that seem to act as an area of 'transition'. i can't really think of anything that would make this graphic stand out even more... imo it's perfect as it is...

i'm a bit confused though with your own point of view... u say in your 'artist's comments' that this piece 'makes no sense at all'? maybe u say so because u didn't mean to express any specific though or feeling in this graphic? but that shouldn't mean that indeed the work created doesn't make any sense. what doesn't make any sense to me is to hear u say it doesn't make any sense... does that make any sense to u?
first of all a graphic or any piece of art for that matter does not have to be narrative in any way to make sense. and sometimes a narrative is so hidden (even for the artist him/herself) that the meaning of particular pieces only becomes clear when one is able to distance oneself from these objects of art. the significance of one particular work of art is more often to be found *in time* rather than *in space*. i mean: one should not only look at his works as singularities but rather aknowledge every work to be a part of an integer: a 'greater whole'. in other words: look at the graphic within a larger timeframe than just here and now... when i look at your gallery i can tell you are experimenting, you are seeking. this particular piece makes (a whole lot of) sense to me personally because i can tell it's a step forward compared to some of your previous pieces... the omittion of insignificant typo, the use and thus interaction of different plastic languages (to name only two) are clear signs of progress and so this graphic makes all the sense of the world to me.
maybe one advice: don't think less of yourself. when you persevere with what u have started (becoming a true artist) u'll meet more than enough people who will do that for you. the better u become the more they will line up to bring u down, therefor u (and every true artist with u) should have all the confidence of the world in your abilities and accomplishments. you are worth it.

The logos and typography feel extremely out of place, and detract from a potentially awesome piece. Seriously, the colors and focal point are orgasmic. But those logos are turning me off.

they have no texture or anything on them, maybe make them more grunge and then they will look better. I like this piece, its like vector grungish. But I'm not feeling the colors in the background.
