Interesting work. I like strange shape of this creature. The eye looks very realistic. I think that light blick makes it more realistic. Also I like dark shades in your drawing. Blurred ink and object fit together.

I honestly can't say which one I like better. They are both amazing
Very true to the original but there is so many fine details it really stand on it's own.
But the thing I like the most is the way you incorporated that black outline. It works so good, I am seriously considering to do something similar
