Your drawings of Bilbo look so much like Martin Freeman that it's almost scary! You are incredibly talented at drawing and that's amazing level of realism and I really like how you are able to potray facial expressions so well.
Ylondra is also very pretty and you have a good cartoony/anime style going on with her, but because Bilbo looks so much more like a real person Ylondra doesn't look like she's part of the same setting. Have you tried more cartoony style for Bilbo or more realistic style for Ylondra, since it would make them seem more like they are in the same world. Bilbo also looks much older than middle-aged compared to Ylondra, because she's more cartoony and thus looks incredibly young, which makes Bilbo with his smile lines look much more elderly than what he looks like in the pictures he's not next to Ylondra.
Bilbo and Ylondra look like a cute couple, though I haven't really looked through the rest of your gallery or read Ylondras backstory etc. Ylondra also has probably the prettiest dress I have ever seen an oc wear in LotR/Hobbit fandom, I would have said the prettiest dress ever drawn for the fandom, but there are some dresses on canon women in fanart, that are equal to this, but have colors I like better than the green and gold of this dress(though both colors are definately pretty and very high up there in my list of favorite color combinations).
Your friends oc is also very pretty and you drew her really well. I do like the purple and black colors of her dress and how it's more simple and plain than Ylondras, but still very pretty(and slightly more practical as well, since Ylondras hem must be getting pretty muddy/dusty when it trails behind her like that).
Ylondra looks like a noble lady, but because Chi has more simple dress with the slightly torn hem she looks more like a merchant lady wearing her old, comfortable and worn dress.

Hey dear,
first of all- I'm pretty sorry for my really lately replay QQ Β But it simply went down between all the other comments Anyway
Thank you very much for your great comment on my lil sketches And I also want to thank you for all your compliments and critiques as well Makes me very happy you think they look cute together though and that Yli has a beautiful dress I had choose green and gold 'cause I really love the combination. You can mix gold (like b/W) with any colours you like and since Yli got red hair I wanted to avoid something pink-red-ish and such, you know. XD
And don't worry, it's okay that you didn't read anything further about them, 'cause there isn't that much to read about her nonetheless I still have to create a proper sheet for her, so...
So let me try to get all your question
1.)Yes I know that I used to draw Yli in a different, like you've said - more Anime-ish style than Bilbo, but that's because we got models for him. Martin and Ian, but there is no 'real' real person for my OC, you see? It's also 'cause I really like these two worlds differences between them. I already drew like this with another ship of mine and there the differences were MUCH stronger than you think it's here. so thanks for your suggestion, but I don't think I will change it much. Β
2.) Ylondra is/looks younger, 'cause she is. XD She's just 20/21 years old (in human years)
3.) And thanks, yes my friends OC was very lovely, indeed :3 But her dress looks more simply and muddy cause she's a normal townswoman. She used to live in the kingdom of Ylondra's father and is in these storyline (just a lil RPG AU) Yli's best friend. Β
So thanks very much once again!!!

Don't worry. I know it sometimes takes lot of time to get answers on dA. And we all have real lives, which mean we don't always have the time to answer the messages, even if we notice them immediately.
You draw very cutely and Yli and her dress are really pretty. Gold does go with just about all colors(though I find gold and pearl jewelry to look bit tacky and cheap for somereason. With redheads pinks and reds either look great or they look horrible(I think the color with living redheaded people is mostly an issue, because redheads tend to be very pale, so reds and pinks make their faces look too reddish). Green goes well with redhair as does blue and most dark non-red colors, some redish colors like deep redish purples or browns and rust red probably would actually look great on redheads(or at least they look great on drawn characters with redhair).
I still have unfinished character sheet that I have now worked on for almost a year for the character depicted in my icon and the thing is still unfinished, mostly because I barely have the time to write it with all the school stuff and occasional lack of inspiration.
Yli doesn't look bad in the cartoony style and I totally understand the lack of having a real person to use as a reference would make it harder to draw her in the same style as Bilbo, who you have two good references for. I also understand just deciding to draw her in different style, because it's probably easier than spending lot of time and effort to try and find the actress who looks exactly like your mental image of Yli. Though if you ever feel the need for finding an actress to use as a reference for Yli, you could try those huge blogs on Tumblr, where they find faceclaims for roleplay characters, since there are lot of really obscure models/actors there who are very pretty(I actually looked once at such blog out of curiosity and there was on the first page a picture of a really pretty woman who looked very unsual and I wanted to write a book where the main character looks like her, despite not being all that good writer).
Ylondra is so young! I thought she must be closer to 30 for some reason, I guess it was her stylish dress making me feel like she is older and more mature woman, rather than a woman who has just reached adulthood. So she's not human? I don't think she's an elf either(mostly because I can't see the ears in any of the pics of her that I have seen(which probably isn't all of them)), so what kind of being is she?
Your friends oc is really pretty, you did good job with her, did you design her or was your friend there giving you advice about "She looks more like that, than what you have drawn". I'm asking because I have drawn a few of my sisters ocs for her and she almost always complains that I drew the oc wrong(like my sisters Naruto oc, I put the effort to make her look as much like the canon style as I can, and my sister told me she wanted me to copy the eyes from her own drawing, not try to make them fit Naruto style), though in a friendly way.
Chiara definately does look like a commoner next to Ylondra and I guess townswoman can be anything in terms of social status between the daugher of really poor man and the wealthiest merchant/craftsman in town. I even kind of like how their dresses have different types of necklines, because a townswoman probably needs more practical one, while a princess can wear of the shoulders dress with long sleeves everyday with no problem.
I really like the contrast between the dresses and how they both have embroidery(though I guess Ylondras trim and belt could be made of brocade or other patterned fabric), but the levels of embroidery actually fit their social status. I mean Chiara probably embroidered her dress by herself, so the embroidery is simpler and smaller, while Ylondras dress was probably done by a professional seamstress, so it's elaborately embroidered and probably took lot of time to make(probably several weeks).

Your Oc is so fuckin disturbing... she has such a Β soulless face.
Please, give her a more realistic face!! That fits better to the other characters.......

Β Why didn't you just say that in english? I don't really know german to well but I do understand enough to see that your answer was something like; if you don't like it that isn't my problem. I'm not gonna change it---. Or do you think everybody beside you----- are satisfied. Β It wasn't rude for all I see and even if your answer would have been rude why answer in a different language?Β
Β But to be dead honest I think he has a point even if he could have said it in a friendlier way. The kinda vintage-shojo drawn oc does look a bit weird with the more realistic drawn Bilbo. Maybe you could try to make a sketch of her in a more realistic fashion or the other way around, make Bilbo more vintage-shojoish?

Oh? Thank you for correcting on the matter with the translation and my misunderstanding then. But you seem to have misunderstood me a little to. I don't agree on the whole ''soulless oc'' part. Firstly I think its wrong to judge a character just based on the drawing style it's portrayed in, and secondly I think you are pulling of the classic-shojo style Β greatly and to be honest I like it a lot. Β Not to mention its not like I or anybody else has the right to force you to change your drawing. The last part of my comment was simply me giving you a comment on what I think about the drawing and your preferences.
Β Keep up the good work.

Awwww thank yoou sweetie!!! <33 Well I love Martin's nose it looks sooo cute and the one of a hedgehog. XDD
Awww yes his suspenders are really cute. I like it on men, but not every man can wear them XD
But as said my style on Martin as Watson changed a lot. Its now mire realistic XDD
Yeah sooo true <333 Well you know thats a scene from our play where she is already in love with him, cause she used to know and is engaged with the older one in the future(loooong complicated BG why we let her went back in time^^" - silly ideas of ours XD) but he doesn't know anything about her at all of course. He is surprised and doesn't understand why such a pretty human lady is so founded about him XD Someone who seems to be noble... in him, a simple lil hobbit. XD
BUT there is something in her presents he can't refuse and he hasn't any idea why XD But he also doesn't see that he falls in love with that woman more and more too XD
