Why does NiGHTS keep their Persona if it is a symbol of loyalty to Wizeman? Why do they not get rid of it?

My thought is... they tried. Desperately. At first just leaving it behind places, only for it to mysteriously re-appear a while later. Then dropping it down holes, 'accidentally' losing it, anything. It came back.

Then they tried throwing it away, only for it to shoot back to them with as much force as they tossed it with.

They tried to break it through any means- trying to snap it made it heat up enough to burn their hands, and anything they tried to crush it with would be destroyed.

In their desperation, they even tried swallowing it- and all they got was a shattered lantern and a loss of their original voice

I do plan on redrawing this eventually, hence why its in scraps.
