I've found that to succeed in life, you need either a strong will or someone with a strong will pushing you. Just make sure you're NOT going the direction you DON'T want to go. If you don't have any particular preference, you can usually have fun even if your parents made the final decision. So don't worry about it. The real challenge (irrespective of where you are)is in striving towards your goal; the reward is sweeter the harder the challenge.

Yeah, I can understand but in real life, I find it hard to do whatever I want. Vietnamese people are very outdated. If I'm a student in a famous uni, I'm will be respected otherwise they will look down on me. I don't want to be looked down on and if I can't get into a uni, my parents will find it a shame on them.
But I found the solution! I will try my best to get into the uni but I will use almost the uni time to learn what I want. I believe I will make my dream come true by all means. Vietnamese people just care if you got into a uni, they don't care what you got into it for and how you got out of it :"))
But believe me, almost Vietnamese people are really kind and friendly. I'm proud of that respect :">

Hey, its Saturday! and you're back!
And you're from Vietnam! I was in Hue, just before the festival! My husband was involved in a teaching session for the Vietnamese eye doctors. I had a wonderful time, and yes, I find Vietnamese people so hard working, and polite, friendly..And I love the food.
You may have a long way to go, but you'll go far I'm sure.
So happy to know someone form Vietnam!!
