I like the sepia tone and the focus on the track, not the train behind it.
Perhaps not so much of a boarder? For me it too away the image and made it smaller. Just a suggestion.

A very geometrically sound photograph. The perspective forms a triangle out of the parallel tracks, which is a sort of oxymoron. Also, the rustic texture and desaturation bordering between black & white and color creates another sort of self-contradictory conflict. The composition is very well done.
There seems to be an air of ambiguity and a lack of clarity in the photograph, as if something was passing and you didn't have the time to look close enough.
Well done.

I love how shiny the rail is up close, and there is an amazing depth of field here... What type of camera do you use? The light is almost ethereal, very consistent and soft. Nice photo.

Trains for me always kind of has a nostalgic feeling...just because they always seem to call of memories of childhood. Plus I think what they stand for by them selfs is kin dof nostalgic. THanks.

I love the toning you have with this most of all.
But what I especially enjoyed was how the tracks seemed to have more of a significance than the train itself does, and for that, it deserves a favorite.
Fucking spectacular work.

I'm a sucker for shots like these. This is just too perfect in every sense. I know it's not like you can go back and retake the same shot, but it would've been awesome if there was a daisy sprouting from the middle of the track.

Actually I can. Assuming a train is parked there, which it usually is. Have been meaning to head down to the tracks again, so might try to do something like that. Thanks for the idea.
