Description I found this one on my HD, somewhat old, but i swapped the old planet for a new one and touched it up.

The gas giant isn't lit correctly, but I just couldn't bring myself to cover it up entirely

Yeah the bottom is TG2, and the planet and ships are 3dsmax, with some cloud stock photoshopped in

I sent you a note (w/ no subject)

Excellent perspective! I love looking at shots like this, especially with the large neighboring planet in the position it's in. This is really great!

This is spectacular! I've been trying to do something like this for a long time. How did you do it?

Thank you! hehe that's kind of difficult question to answer I made the foreground with TG2, the planets are all 3d, the spaceships are 3d as well....and i put it all together and painted the nebula in Photoshop ...does that help? feel free to send me a note if you've got more questions

Thanks man, the ships are pretty old, they've been used in some other pics before, but i still like em and this probably won't be the last you see of them

I like it! Just out of curiosity - what's a photo? I can't really tell, everything is very nicely integrated

The distant clouds are a photo (i didn't like the original horizon that much) other than that its all digital, all composited in PS - thanks!! (for the fav too )
