Description
Part of the "SEED Club Festival" series, depicting the various SEED/Destiny characters performing different fairytales. They come with the figure and several small cards telling the story.In "The Little Meer-Maid" (as I call it), Meer is a mermaid princess who saves and falls in love with the handsome Prince Athrun. She trades her voice to the Sea Witch (Wizard?), Durandall, for legs. But alas, upon arriving on the shore, Meer discovers Prince Athrun is in love with and marrying the beautiful Princess Cagalli. She is given a Haro-knife to kill Prince Athrun, and would turn back into a mermaid, but her love for him is too strong and she chooses to die, turning to seafoam, instead. Finally free, she soars above the clouds with her trusty Haro companion, watching over him.
Yes, that little red thing on the front of the figure is an itty-bitty haro!
I just love this figure. Sadly, the meer-maid story rather reflects what happens to her in the actual series, as well.Meer and Gundam SEED Destiny belong to Bandai and Sunrise.
