Description Hmm...can't remember the last time I actually finished something in one sitting. I was planning to work on something Stolovan related and then this happened. Rushed and crappy, yes, but I haven't submitted anything in awhile so meh.

So yeah, since everyone is busy drawing Kenny right now (and understandably so because goddammit the last episode was fucking AWESOME), I decided to be different and draw Mintberry Crunch, because he just seems to get more and more adorable every time I watch the past two episodes (which has been many, many times). He's just so adorably awkward and I love that!

Yeah, he was a main character in the past 3 episodes and before that he was always in the background, so almost no one knew who he was, haha. You should start watching them again!

Thank you! ^^

Haha I know! Throughout the last two episodes I kept thinking, "Hey, they kicked Cartman out, why is Butters still in there?" XD

This was Noted to me by a friend... and I love it <3 I mean, yeah, OK, I'm a little bitter that Kenny didn't defeat Cthulhu, but--how great for Mintberry It does make sense that they'd throw us for a mind-trip like that--that's just what Matt and Trey *do*.

And this is lovely <3 I really like his innocence and awkwardness... and self-assured bliss. and really, we all should have see it coming, that he'd play a big role, since for all of the episodes, everyone's dogging him for *not* having a "proper superpower"... Nice bit of foreshadowing on the writers' part.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad that you like it and the fact that your friend took the time to note you about it makes me really happy!

Yeah, I felt the same way. I was sort of expecting some crazy battle between Kenny and Cthulhu, but besides Kenny's immortality, there's nothing that would have given him an advantage over a giant monster. And Matt and Trey wouldn't kill him off again. They already tried that and it barely lasted. But the more I think about it, I'm glad that everything will just be able to go back to normal. And you're so right about the foreshadowing thing, it was friggin' everywhere! I'm glad Bradley got the spotlight, though, and I just hope that he doesn't completely disappear now that he's become such a lovable character!

You're very welcome

I certainly was expecting an epic battle, and I wouldn't have put it past Matt and Trey to finally, truly, kill Kenny, to say, "OK, seriously, he's dead now!"... but I'm SO glad they didn't!

I agree, I loved the mythology they created for these episodes, you know, but it'll be nice to get back to normal South Park (erm, define "normal", I guess XD) as well. And it was nice how Bradley got some attention--I really enjoy it when minor characters get a bit of stardom, if only for an episode or two.

I was more hoping for an epic battle rather than expecting it. And a tiny part of me was scared that they would kill Kenny for good but I was pretty sure they wouldn't. They killed him before and brought him back, they gave the boys a new teacher but then eventually it was Garrison again, they made Garrison a woman and then changed him back to a man. They mess around with stuff a lot, but it seems like no matter what they never stray too far from the original formula that just works so perfectly.

Oh I know, you can tell they really did their research! But getting back to "normal" will be nice. I thought the last episode was a nice light-hearted way to end off the season, though I wish there was more focus on the boys (but that's what I always think). Yeah, I was so excited for Bradley! I always seem to get attached to minor characters in any series I watch, so episodes like these are my favorites! It's funny to think that probably most people didn't even know who Bradley was a month ago even though he's been around in the background for years.

You better believe I was hoping for an epic battle! The sad thing for me though is that I guess I was expecting one XD

This past week's episode... was a double-edged sword for me. Like, I like the normalcy again but when they get all over-the-top in sexual ways, I wish they'd go back to Coon and Friends XD I do kinda see their point, though--I mean, I know people who drool over Food Network as if it's some strange new type of, *ahem*, entertainment XD

I love it when minor characters are hyped up. Like Butters. He used to be just one of those background guys for a while, then he created Professor Chaos... <3 (I have such a soft-spot for Chaos...)

I've learned to never really expect anything from South Park, just sit back and let Matt and Trey work their magic and all will be right with the world. (an epic battle still would have been so awesome, though)

Even after a few weeks I still don't know how I really feel about the last episode, though it seems to grow on me a little more every time I watch it. If nothing else it's insanely quotable. We sell shake-weights where I work and I swear I can't pass the damn things without saying "how about a quick workout" quietly to myself. XD

Yes, I do too. Haha, it's kind of weird to think how minor Butters used to be and now he's one of the main characters. Most of my favorite SP episodes are ones that brought some of the minor and semi-minors into the spotlight. And Matt and Trey have even said that they like doing that, so I hope they do it more in the future! And OMG yes, I have a huge soft spot for Chaos too! You just have to love him!

Tweede-Kans In reply to Reichee [2010-12-21 20:09:20 +0000 UTC]

True... just when you expect anything from them, they throw you a curveball. (Though, an epic battle would've been, hm, epic. XD)

As for me with that last episode, eh, it had its funny moments, but it's hard to watch the adults when you get so used to the boys. But that's really funny about your work! XD

I agree, it's awesome to see minor characters be brought into the spotlight, if even for only an episode or two. And Chaos is just too easy to love... though disturbing, if you think about him, i.e. that Butters has a sort of split-personality thing going on. Then again, Chaos is still so cute even when he's hell-bent on destruction XD

Reichee In reply to Tweede-Kans [2010-12-26 16:12:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, so true! I'll take the boys over the adults any day (I still love Randy and all his crazyness, though ) Haha, and thanks, I have to keep myself sane at work somehow.

At the beginning of the season I was actually disappointed that they were focusing on no one but the major characters, but that just made the Mysterion trilogy even more special. And about Chaos, I think that's what gives him his charm. When you have a character that thinks mixing up people's soup orders is being evil...that's just so adorable!

Tweede-Kans In reply to Reichee [2011-01-15 21:23:09 +0000 UTC]

Randy is VERY good for crazy, I agree with you there. I do love when they sprinkle some of his nutso ideas in there.

As for the trilogy--I guess I didn't think that they focused on the main characters so much in the beginning, but whatever they did the make the Mysterion trilogy rock, it worked. I'm still really appreciative of the fact that they took their time on it....

And Chaos is just adorable no matter what, even if he is trying to destroy the world. <3

when I saw the last episode I was thinking.."No...Nooooo....They've gotta be joking...They've gotta be joking...Mintberry Crunch defeats Cthulhu?! That just can't happen!" But it was funny none the less...And yes Kenny's immortal, but every time he dies he reappears in his mother's womb, becomes a baby, and I guess time accelerates for him to the point and age to just before he dies...and the wiki is speculating that Kenny and Bradley may be brothers born from the same space dad...I don't know where they got that from especially since the mother said "We should've never gone to that cult" so they may have done something to their fetus that became Kenny

Reichee In reply to XaviorTheLycan [2010-11-12 02:33:17 +0000 UTC]

Haha, I was thinking the same thing and was kinda disappointed that the episode ended so abruptly. But then I reminded myself that it was South Park after all and I was probably taking it too seriously.

I don't know why anyone would think Kenny and Bradley were brothers. The episodes pretty much explained Kenny's existence. Henrietta talked about how the cultists have been trying to bring the immortal beings into our world (there was even a picture of some cult people performing a ritual on a baby) and Kenny's parents were so drunk they don't remember what happened at any of the meetings so they must have successfully performed some kind of ritual on Kenny's mom. And plus when they first found out about Kenny's parents being arrested with the cult, Kyle remarked that it had happened about ten years ago, and since Kenny is nine the timeline adds up. So you were right, it had to do with the cult. Bradley's just an alien. An adorable little alien, but I don't think it goes any deeper than that. I've watched the past 3 episodes many, many times, though, so I've probably noticed a things that other people haven't.

Yeah, he's definitely been getting a lot of attention the past few weeks, but since the Mysterion saga is over I'm wondering if they'll ever show him again. I hope they'll still show him at least once in awhile, even just as Bradley.

He's another character from South Park. I'd say new...but he's been around for awhile. They just recently brought him into the spotlight for a few episodes.

Who is Mintberry Crunch?

He seems like such a minor character. He's probably going to be some major character or something like that later on.

He reminds me of a short-haired Pip. Hmm.....

Reichee In reply to LeekAbuse [2010-11-09 00:35:23 +0000 UTC]

He's Bradley, the blond kid with the bowl-cut who's always hanging around in the background. In most of the recent lunchroom scenes you can see him sitting with Kevin. And if you watch "Coon 2: Hindsight" you see him at the end of the episode without his costume on. Yes, he's a very very very minor character but after all this I have a feeling he'll become much more popular, which makes me happy.

Haha, you're right, he kind of does. I didn't make his hair the right color. But I guess that's what I get for not using a reference.

Don't worry, I never use a reference either XD And now that you've pointed out it's Bradley, it DOES look just like him X3

Okay, good, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I try to usually, but this one was just a little spur of the moment thing and I was much too lazy to go grab a reference. And thank you! I'm always glad when my drawings actually look like what they're supposed to look like. XD
