Description I got so close to this very laid back pelican, I thought he might reach out and grab my Nikon. Instead, he raised his monstrous wings and lifted off to find another perch. Shot from the St. Simons Island GA fishing pier, you can see the northern tip of Jekyll Island in the background.

what a beautiful capture! these guys always seem to strange to me, as they dont live anywhere near where im located. very clear, but the colors seem a bit dark. =/
