Austin was previously ignorant to the Amery show diva phenomenon that others were so wary of. If he knew the extent at which Amery would get on his nerves, he wouldn't have gone with them. As it turns out, an anxious Amery is very hard to control, hyper one second, snappy the next, it was driving Austin insane. It had driven Rosalie over the edge during the journey there, and he was sure he was only still sane because he could literally turn his ears off.

He thought once they arrived that the stress was over, but somehow, Endgame's biting muzzle had been forgotten. It was of course 100% Amery's fault, as the owner of the damn beast. But to Amery, its was literally impossible for anything to be completely his fault.

As soon as Rosalie mentioned it, and Amery immediately said she should have looked for it, Austin subtly reached up and deafened himself. He would have been able to walk away, if it wasn't for the fact Amery had stolen Valentine's leadrope just moments before. That in itself was bound to cause imminent drama, but Austin was hoping Valentine could look after herself.

Jakob had been staying out of it the whole time, as he usually did. Most of the arguments that happened, he had no idea what it was about. Amery's diva mind was a little too complex for him to fully understand, fueled by emotions and ideas that he did not experience. In this particular case, he felt that a simple 'oops sorry' from Amery would have solved things, worst case they could have used a scarf for a muzzle or something? But no, that wasn't the solution, apparently arguing about who's responsibility it was was more productive.

He started to walk Thunder ahead of them when the shouting got louder.

"I had it on the table with the rest 've the stuff, so someone must 'ave misplaced it after that!" Amery repeated this point for the third time since the debate started.

"That wasn't where your responsibility over it ended, you were supposed to put it in the trailer too, and look after it at every point after that! If your beast maims someone you're taking responsibility! The whole stable will be shunned if you cause a death."

"Death?? S'e's a moody mare na' Hannibal Lecter!" Amery puffed, dramatically grabbing Austin's shoulder and leaning towards her for dramatic effect. "And if you had all the halters you should have the muzzle too, its part av' it!"

"I had the halters as a favour! You still needed to keep an eye on your own stuff, she shouldn't be on these grounds without a muzzle!"

"S'e has the ribbon!" Amery defended and Rosalie looked back at the mare, gesturing to the tiny piece in her mane in disbelief.

"You can't even see that!"

Jakob wondered if he should point out the murderous gaze Endgame was giving Valentine as she got too close...

"People wont randomly run up to 'er will they, t'will be fine."

"You're the one that will be apologizing when she does hurt someone, and if she bites Valentine you're on your own!" Rosalie puffed, Austin didn't say anything, he never said anything. In fact, Jakob wasn't sure he'd said a single word in the past 24 hours. Although, judging by his lack of reaction, Austin wasn't listening to their conversation in the first place, he was just accepting the dramatic shaking of his shoulder Amery was doing every now and again.

"S'e WONT BITE 'ER!" Amery yelled and Jakob sighed as Rosalie winced.

"God your awfully loud for such a small thing." She complained and ruffled his hair, Amery looked like he was going to be the one doing the biting.

"Rosie..." Jakob started to warn as Endgame fixated on her, but was a little too late as a squeal sounded and the mare lunged to fake bite. Amery squeaked and tensed up making Austin freeze and Valentine walk into him. Rosalie jumped back into Thunder's butt sending him bolting forwards and tugging on Jakob's hand.

Jakob calmly cooed and patted the Alfkak's shoulder, before continuing on. The others were at a stand still arguing about who's fault that was, but Jakob has decided to walk on and pretend he didn't know them.

Austin watched him go with a longing sigh.
