ok that was i trying to say.cause someone on here thought she was African. but she isn't it's the way it looked during the scene.

i don't think so. i saw this movie and it was when the color from king triton's staff was glowing and it was showing the shader of it's golden color. i don't know what it's call but the reason why ariel's skin color is like that was because the staff was glowing when he was destroying the grotto.
