Description This picture shows the characters "Edge" and "Raven" from the "SHADOWRUN" universe.
I did this picture for my friend Marcus and his pal Menno, since these characters are their "alter egos" in this famous RP!
As you can see, both friends are relaxing after a long hard run. Raven is quite hungry and worked out, while Edge could just go for another mission.
I am pretty satisfied with the interior and setting - even if there are some "3D-mistakes"! But at least, I am glad about the dark atmosphere... alone, cold and only the TV spends some light.

Pencil, Ink, Markers, Colour Pencils, Acrylics, PHOTOSHOP 7.0 (blue overlay filter)

Hehe... they are not sooo bored. At least, well, maybe NOW!! They are just back from a session and... RAVEN is quite tired. EDGE would like to go on a new battle tour. Guess, they both shall rest a while now.....

Well, I dunno... I used no reference for them! But "Edge" is typical "Duke Nukem" type and "Raven" looks like "Raistlin" from "DRAGONLANCE"!!

Hab auch einige selbstgemachte TraumfΓ€nger in meinem Zimer hΓ€ngen, allesamt mit gesammtelten Rabenfedern geschmΓΌckt.
(lebe in der NΓ€he des Hamburger Zentral-Friedhofs da findet man hier und da welche)

Like usual I must...sorry! i must put a critique or it will eat me alive.
1. Arms again... Raven's forearm is way too long, and edge's are way too short.
2.Hands... too big sweetoms! open hand is in size of a face, and you made them well... too big so to speak of
3. Edge's legs... good greef! those are greek columns! and thsoe feets are in size of raven's body from his thigh to his arms. I understand he has big boots but this is little to extreme

Really excersize your perspective shortcuts hun, i hate to say it but you need it

And yes, you are right... I still have my problems with perspective and 3D interior. I do this too little! But I can only become better, by DOING it (practise)! On the other hand, I am happy to have used an untypical colour palette.
And at least, I followed your advise regarding a better watermark and smaller file size! ^..^ (Oh, he CAN learn...)

I seem to get it... you would add the watermark in the CENTER of the image! Mabye, a little bit more transparent - but anyway, in the MIDDLE!! Meeeep... I still cannot make myself to do that.... >..< *cries*

Hmm... I agree to most of your points. It is weird, that I do not see this "hands are too big" thing. I must try to get my view become more "objective". Somehow, the hands do not appear too big.
Btw, I have made 2 photos of MYSELF for reference. Even the couch and table had a photo reference. I did almost nothing out of my mind... but I guess, that is not a bad thing.
Edge was supposed to be "huge" and strong bodybuilder but... I guess, it was too much. Right.
Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it... and next time, REALLY will send you a sketch first. Sorry, I forgot it this time. It has been some hasty days. I will take a closer look on my arms and hands next time!!

i kinda guessed that edge was suppose to be huge but in such case you should make his body bigger, with what you did even with perspective, he looks like average guy with humungous legs somehow you don't look at the picture as whole anymore, you just make characters, objects and don't turn attention how they relate together. You get what i am trying to say?

About Edge, yes, I see it now! Even my bro said: "Wow, these are huge boots..." I messed with the photo reference... the camera was closer to my boots, then the watcher in THIS picture!

Yes... OMG, you know what? I think, for the first time I really GET WHAT YOU MEAN! >..< It comes over me... oh, well. You are right... when it comes to such "composed pictures" (people, room and items), I simply seem to place everything together - with NO relation between the items itself. -..-
Dammit, you are right!
When I am composing a picture, I need to see it as a "whole" piece. Not "different independent spare parts"!! Yessss, Jeez!
Thanks for pointing out the right direction...... once again. I will do some "body, arm and hand" studies, when I have time. I guess, this is necessary!
