So, this is the vector work of one Michael K huh? Nice. I see a trend in that all your current stuff uses (multiple) bright colours - any reason?

This piece in particular is cool. The whole radiating/rising sun stripe effect is great, and combined with the splatter brushes (font) it makes for a great visual... I applaud your use of the man/figure, not only because it looks good, but also I know how time consuming it can be to trace using the pen tool... my only other comment in relation to the figure would be that his left leg looks a little out of proportion to the other leg, but it hardly affects the overall impact of the visual, and I know that you couldn't be stuffed changing it now, so yeah, nothing major...

By the way, I used those same grunge typefaces in my own assignment... in fact, I think I'll post it/them up now...

All in all, its a winner. How'd the printing go?

Yep, here's my vector art work. I have another one I might upload, but it needs a bit of work first. And no particular reason other than the fact that I really like bright colours now. I guess those 2+ years of doing dark art made me want to do a 360.

Yes! Vectoring is a bloody bitch. And I'm really glad to like the whole layout because it was a bit of a rushed job -- I needed to get the poster to the printers. And yeah, the printing went well. It was only a B&W plan print, but it turned out pretty good for $8.50. It now hangs up inside the campus IT room, along with the rest of the class' work. I bet I never see it again in one piece.

Nice pick up on the leg by the way -- I didn't notice that at all. But your right, I couldn't be stuffed changing it now Even if I wanted to though, the .ai file I was working from seems to have disappeared.

Thanks for well-thought out comment again Stuck. Means a lot.

Your reply never showed up as a new comment. In fact, all my comments are gone...

... dA is on the rapes yet again...

But its good the printing went well. To do a brilliant job digitally is one thing, but to have it look like shit due to poor printing is another.... I'm super glad that your print turned out, you should get a good mark ay...

And yeah, 360 indeed. From dark reqruiem of chaos...

...to brightly coloured artistic mikey! yay...
