I fell in love with this design as soon as Maki posted it. I was even lucky enough to buy him when he went up for sale. Time passed, I hadn't ref'd him, and I decided I needed to thin the herd - and I regretably sold him. But I never stopped loving this handsome fella, so when he went back up for sale, I simple couldn't resist, and brought him back to stay with me at AVS, for good this time. He's aged up so prior owners/slot holders can use their slots immediately, but for my stables purposes, we'll be introducing him as a youngster.
While I continue to work on shading, and learning how to add highlights and shadows, you can see the true colors of his coat in the flats here:
Scheduled upload - I finished this ref while I was home with Covid, knowing full well that when I returned to work I probably wouldn't be doing much art for a while (and spending my evenings recovering from long work days instead).

It is my hope to be able to upload one ref per month this year, and catch up on some LONG overdue horse refs - so I am able to move forward with some story/plot lines finally.
