- Recognized by their translucent wings, pointed ears and unusual skin colors, Fairies are a special type of Balleray. They leave behind a "dust"--a colorful, sparkling pheromone that leaves those that come into contact with it "charmed" (in most cases, though an individual's dust may produce different effects). Because of which, many Fairy Balleray are trailed by different sea creatures.

Balleray are a species of mermaid that bear striking resemblance to ballerina. They are known for their enchanting songs, graceful dance, and their Second Voice - a secondary voice used, in song, that can take great effect on an individual's psyche.

Their "bodice" is part of their anatomy and not removable, playing a vital part in their self-defense; if threatened, the "skirt" activates a powerful sting.
