WHO DAT POKEMON!?

Just...holy shit XD How far this little guy has come. Prepare for a reminiscing wall of text.

I remember back in the days before neon colours burnt my eyes, he was bright red. Ugh the pain D: And an okami fan character at that, divine instrument, shoulder fur and all. Also had a pendant with the Japanese symbol for fire. He even had a little poncle too He was part of an okami fan comic I was doing (why young me whyyyyy)

After that, the divine instrument and shoulder fur was removed, leaving him with just a fire. The markings and colour did not change. It was at this point that the fan comic was scrapped and he was now to be in a youth-made comic me and a friend were planning.

THEN I learned that I was not a fan of sparkly doggies and I went through all my designs and stripped them all of their abhorrent colours and made them natural (colours, not always the markings themselves) Flare too was hit and his red was desaturated. The comic was all but stopped as life got in the way.

With an attempted reboot of me and my friends comic (that did not end successfully) Flare and countless others were getting redesigns along with new characters made and others being scrapped. One of those characters that met their end was Flare's little poncle/sprite.
Flare's brighter colouration was gone and was replaced with a much darker red. To that, the new addition of black markings were added suited him well. I took away his fire and his pendant with the plans or reintroducing them as the story progressed and Flare became SUPA WOLF.
It didn't happen.

Having quite enjoyed some of the characters I made which would not fit in the still-in-progress world of Eternal Blood, I decided I would reboot the comic on my own, only I wouldn't call it a reboot. The plot is drastically changed and its reached a level of maturity I could not have written in my youth (though it aint got shit on EB)
Countless characters descended to the character graveyard, very few of my longest kept characters remaining. Flare is obviously one of them.
Made some adjustments to the markings and gave him a whole next necklace with a map and his own little brooch. It'll make sense eventually. ;D
I also decided that Flare was not a character suited for semi-realism alike to Shenta and such so I gave him his own cartoony look. With his markings he is still far from realistic, but it is far greater than the initial design.

The new project that he'll be a part of shall hopefully unveil soon :3
